Privacy Policy

Noire Studios ("Noire", "we", "us") is based in Metro Vancouver, British Columbia. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in line with British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), where it applies.

What we collect

When you request a strategy call, we collect the information you choose to give us:

• your name, email address and phone number
• what you do, and your city or area
• your Instagram handle or website, if you share it
• what you would like content to do for you
• whether you agreed to receive follow-up messages, and when

If you email us, we keep that correspondence. If analytics is switched on and you accept cookies, we also collect basic, non-identifying information about how the site is used, such as pages visited and the type of device and browser.

Why we collect it

• to respond to your inquiry and schedule your strategy call
• to prepare for the call, which may include reviewing your public social profiles or website
• to send you follow-up messages, only if you have agreed to receive them
• to understand and improve how the website works, only if you accept analytics cookies
• to meet our legal obligations

We collect only what we need for these purposes, and we never sell your personal information.

Consent and follow-up messages

By submitting the form, you consent to us using your information to respond to your inquiry. Separately, you can choose to receive follow-up emails and messages from us by ticking the consent box. That box is never ticked for you, and you can withdraw consent at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any message, replying to tell us, or emailing contact@thenoirestudios.com. We follow Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).

Who we share it with

We share personal information only with trusted service providers who help us run our business, such as providers that host this website, deliver email, manage bookings and keep our customer records, and, if switched on, measure website use. They may only use your information to provide their services to us, and they must protect it.

Some of these providers may store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States. When that happens, your information may be subject to the laws of that country. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep inquiry information for as long as we need it to respond to you and follow up, generally no longer than two years after our last contact, unless you become a client or the law requires us to keep it longer. When it is no longer needed, we delete it securely.

How we protect it

We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted connections, restricted access and reputable service providers. No system is perfectly secure, but we take protecting your information seriously.

Cookies and analytics

This site does not use advertising or analytics cookies unless analytics is switched on and you choose to accept them. If a cookie notice appears, nothing is tracked until you select Accept. You can also clear cookies and site data in your browser at any time.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or withdraw your consent. To make a request, email contact@thenoirestudios.com. We will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Children

This website is meant for adults and businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
